Goals
The project focused on three objectives:
1. Digitize the check-in process
Allow drivers to independently register and manage their queue.
2. Reduce waiting time
Enable drivers to book loading slots in advance.
3. Improve operational transparency
Provide real-time queue visibility for drivers and logistics teams.
Approach
The product design process included several research steps.
User Interviews
Drivers were interviewed to understand their real workflow and pain points at logistics checkpoints.
Workflow Analysis
The existing queue process was mapped to identify inefficiencies.
Usability Testing
Prototypes were tested with real drivers to ensure clarity and ease of use.
Solution
The final product was a Progressive Web Application designed for fast access and ease of use.
Key features:
• driver self-registration
• loading slot selection
• queue status visibility
• booking cancellation and rescheduling
The interface was optimized for drivers with different levels of technical experience, prioritizing clarity and minimal interaction steps.
Impact
The solution improved logistics workflow efficiency:
Reduced average wait time from 13-16 hours to 8-9 hours
85% of shipments processed through the PWA
Increased driver satisfaction and improved operational efficiency
